Common questions

  • I forgot my password. On the sign-in screen, choose "Forgot your password?" and we will email you a reset link.
  • The scanner does not open. The app needs camera permission: allow it in your phone's Settings under FreeRange Assets. You can also type a tag ID by hand.
  • Where do I import assets, invite people, or change my plan? In the web app at console.freerangeassets.com.

Delete your FreeRange Assets account

You can delete your FreeRange Assets account and its data yourself, in either of these places:

  1. In the mobile app: Settings → Delete account, then confirm with your password.
  2. On the web: sign in at console.freerangeassets.com/account, choose Delete account, type the confirmation phrase, and confirm with your password or Google account.

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@freerangeassets.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request comes from you, then delete it.

What is deleted

  • Your account: your name, email address, and how you sign in (your password, or the link to your Google account).
  • Your profile, your memberships, and the invitations that name you: those sent to your address and those you accepted.
  • Organizations you own where you are the only member, with everything in them: assets, photos, files, history, settings, and the invitations they sent. Their subscription is cancelled.

What is kept

  • An organization you own that has other members is not deleted. Ownership passes to its most senior remaining member, and its subscription is cancelled at the end of the period already paid for. Export anything you want to keep first.
  • In organizations that continue, the records you made — assets, check-outs and their history — stay with that organization, which controls them.
  • Copies in our encrypted backups until those expire: up to 90 days for daily backups and 7 days for point-in-time recovery.
  • Billing records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and request logs, typically for 30 days.
