Pricing questions, straight answers
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Up to 250 assets, unlimited users, free forever — no trial clock, no credit card. It includes the core product: QR labels, check-out/check-in, sites and locations, custom fields, photos, reports, import, and export. Paid plans exist for organizations that outgrow the asset cap, and they fund the free one.
What happens when I hit my asset cap?
Nothing dramatic. Your existing assets keep working — you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove some. We warn you as you approach the limit, and your data is never held hostage: every plan can export, 5 times a day on Free and more on paid plans.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Every plan, including Free, has full CSV export of your asset records — in a column layout compatible with the one you'd import. Exports are metered per day, not gated by plan: 5 a day on Free, up to 20 on Enterprise, which is a cost ceiling rather than a lock. You can leave FreeRange Assets as easily as you joined it. We think that's exactly why you'll stay.
Do you charge per user?
No. Every plan has unlimited users. Asset tracking only works when everyone can scan and update records, so charging per seat would just push teams to share logins. Pricing scales with how many assets you track, nothing else.
